HOW IT ALL BEGAN....

What in the world is MediaTek ? is what you're probably thinking right now, well in direct geeky terms MediaTek is a global fabless semiconductor company that enables more than 1.5 billion consumer products a year. I know that answer most likely just stirred up more questions and for me a question i believe every and any phone enthusiast should be asking is that how does this affect my choice on that next device i'm thinking about getting, why should i care ?

The MediaTek Company is a market leader in developing tightly-integrated, power-efficient systems-on-chip (SoC) for Mobile devices, home entertainment, network and connectivity, automated driving, etc. So in essence if phone's were people MediaTek would be one of  the numerous "brain" manufacturers of some sort, i say numerous because there are other chipset (brain) manufacturers. Since its founding in 1997, MediaTek has being creating chipset solutions for the global market. The company also provides its customers with reference designs.

                                 
 What gets my attention here really are the words power-efficient, MediaTek chips are designed primarily to be power efficient which means these chips are not leaches that suck the precious life outta your battery. Not only are these chips efficient in operation, they operate with just enough juice to leave you happy with your devices's battery life. 
So really it is not just about having that device with a monster battery that counts, what is underneath that sleek screen could end up making it look like your device runs on ordinary primary cells. Now when you combine a power efficient chip with a big battery then you can be sure to get real value for your money (if you're a person who doesn't enjoy walking around with your phone charger like me) with longer on-screen times for all your phone needs including but not limited to :
  • Gaming
  • Internet
  • Videos (watching and recording)
  • Selfies
  • etc.
I believe this should lay a very strong foundation for why i'd always advice/ opt to review big battery MTK's (MediaTek chips) not readily available in the Nigerian market. Lets delve into the world of China's MediaTek big batteries.
